Ramnagar Fort is an 18th-century sandstone fortress located on the eastern bank of the Ganga, directly opposite the ghats of Varanasi. Built by Maharaja Balwant Singh in 1750, it continues to serve as the ancestral residence of the former Kashi royal family and stands as one of the city's finest heritage landmarks.
